The world we live in...

We live in a world where people having connections climb the ladder of success and where talent  or skill of a person is just another thing in this big world

where hardwork goes unseen by people

where people hear but do not listen to you

where people talk but don't make sense at all

where people don't really think before they talk rather talk before they think

where people point out their finger instatntly at you, if you have done something wrong and somehow when you have done something right that same finger turns out to that person himself

where people don't mind having fake conversation or faking a smile to a person he destests
even if it kils him inside to talk to that person, just cause of this darn society

where people show up only when they think you are useful otherwie no talk, not until another work comes up for him, and he knows, that the only person who will do it without any objection, is you alone

where people value things instead of people

where people enjoy the fake convos and all the hustle bustle than to the quite serenity of nature

where people only know your value if you are not around them

where people are there to discourage you in many steps of your life

But baby, just know that every cloud has a silver lining
And I am sure that you are the diamond, people have failed to recognize
and someday you will shine bright
and I promise you, that very day you will be the happiest person ever,
and they will be sorry for treating you the way they did
and you will live in a world where people who didn't care about you would no longer matter to you
because they are just another bunch of  people in this world we live in

A Walk to Remember

I was hearing footsteps of all kinds-loud footsteps, soft ones.Everyone was walking friskly and some were murmuring and chanting prayers on their way to the holy shrine-Boudhanath.Cool wind was blowing on my face and the morning air was just perfect for me to go for a walk.I had woke up early this morning at around 5:45.Atleast,that is what I would call early in my dictionary because I usually woke up around 7 in the morning. However, thanks to my  neighbour's baby for  crying so loudly early morning,i didn't even need an alarm to wake up from a good sleep last night. So,I could feel it,that this was "THE DAY".The day for a morning walk for a lazy girl like me.As I was getting ready, my mom, yeah, she was kind of surprised and happy that her daughter was already awake early morning and was going to circumbulate around Boudha. As for me,I was quite happy myself.

There were all types of people in Boudha.Ironically,I always thought only the older people had the zeal to get up early in the morning for koras unlike the lazy younger generation.Well,I guess I was proved wrong today.Hysterically somehow the younger generation which I always stereotyped as "lazy" was actually only me.Although, majority of the people were old ones, there were also young people to even small kids.It was around 6:30 a.m in the morning and surprisingly,it was such a busy place and almost all the shops were opened.Mostly, the roadside shops were the busiest and also there were fresh vegetables sold-some busy bargaining for the price.Nevertheless, I was in my world, just like all others I had now circumbulated three times around the stupa and was on my way to home. As,I was walking I heard a loud voice from somewhere, turned back and saw a woman keeping her cellphone as close as possible to her ear.The person on the phone was talking in tibetan and it was highly audible enough to hear it from even thirty steps far and I was only a few steps away from the person who was keenly listening to it.I heard voice on the phone saying"Tashi Delek,How are you and how is everyone in family? We are all fine here.Take care,We will be meeting soon someday".At first,I thought why on earth would someone talk on the phone so loudly but my thoughts soon took change and I was smiling at the same time feeling sympathetic for the old woman as she was playing the voice message again and again.I assumed it was someone close to her, maybe her daughter or her grandchild, hersister. She played it several times as though she missed the voice and for some reason the loud voice didn't seem to bother me afterwards. It is a tragedy most of the tibetans are facing who are residing in Nepal. They usually have thier daughters and sons in the U.S or some other country.the old people are usually the ones that are left out. Some are lucky to have their cousin allowing them to stay with them while some stay at the old age home funded by the tibetan government. While some go along with their sons and daughters but usaully return to Nepal soon as they would have a hard time adjusting to the fast pace western society and would rather prefer to stay in a country so sacred like Nepal-where there are so many holy sites. They felt protected and blessed here.

With a heavy sigh,I was moving towards my home now feeling all nostalgic for the whole tibetan diaspora spread around the world and for my own country-TIBET!!!
